| This product is not sturdy or constructed well. Product came all together. When I took the back off to put in batteries, the entire base fell apart. It was extremely difficult to put back together with the wires and cords. I was able to put it back together, with the batteries in finally after much frusteration. When turned on it wouldn't work. Never able to use this product it went right into the trash after my husband couldnt fix it or get it to work either. My son was so disappointed he wasnt able to use even once, the lava lamp he got for his birthday. |

| This is an amazing "Lava" Lamp. It works great and creates wonderful light affects on the wall. I am amazed that is works by a paddle that spins and moves the glitter through the fluid. I am also amazed that I run it approximately 10 hours a day and it runs for about 10 days on 3 batteries. I really love this lamp and so do my clients. |
Beautiful!

I bought this to use as a nightlight for my daughter, and it's perfect. It's battery operated, and it operates on a color wheel, so the spinning glitter changes colors pretty quickly. My daughter loves it, and I will buy the exact same product again if it ever wears out.
Very glad I got it. |

This served as a wonderful weekend with a visiting special someone. It looked awesome. HOWEVER, you should know:
The product runs on batteries! You have to purchase your own AC adapter if you don't want to feed it batteries.
Secondly, while it was part of a magical weekend, the motor stopped turning after about 1 week. It's not much to look at now. |
A Highly Recommended Product

| The original Lava lamp depended on an incandescent (25 to 40 watt) bulb to illuminate & heat the liquid & lava to make it move. This particular product doesn't depend on heat to make it work. Instead, a motorized paddle stirs up the clear liquid & glitter as the LEDs slowly change color (red, green, blue & mixes of the three). The motor doesn't run constantly. Instead, it cycles off & on making the glitter motion change from fast to slow. The motor runs completely silent. The only way to hear it is to put your ear up against the unit. The lamp also offers the option of AC power via a 4.5 volt adapter (not included). Battery life is amazing. I installed 3 freshly charged NiMH rechargeable AA batteries in it. Modestly speaking, they lasted over 14 hours before I checked their voltage. All 3 batteries were still at 1.15 volts, enough to continue powering the light much longer than 14 hours. I've now installed 3 used (1.15v ea.) alkaline batteries just to see how long it will run. This would be a great device to use batteries too low (in voltage) to power other devices. In a totally dark room, the device will cast subtle specks of color reflected from the glitter on to the walls of the room. The device is a joy to watch. I'm thinking of getting another for a relative in a nursing home. I've now had the lamp for 5 days & have NOTHING negative to say about it. Buy it. You'll be glad you did. |
